‘THE VOICE OF THE PRESIDENT’

Description

Commissioned by the White House Communications Agency.

Eighty years ago, the United States Department of War established the White House Signal Detachment to support the President of the United States. It started with 32 Army Soldiers and evolved over the years to its current state as a 1,300 joint-personnel organization with members of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard as well as civilians and contractors. While the requirements, technology, capabilities and people have changed, the dedication to providing ‘Presidential Quality’ service has remained steadfast.
The men and women of the White House Communications Agency have a sustained legacy of excellence, innovation, and mission success supporting 15 Presidents and their administrations. The success of the organization is built on the selfless dedication, drive, technical skills, adaptability and teamwork of the people. This painting captures a sample of moments from WHCA’s 80-year legacy and most importantly the people that made those moments successful.

Prints exclusive to the White House Communications Agency.
